This is an agreement for investment in a company. It is used when one side wants to invest money in a company in return for shares. However, they are not taking all the shares, so the founders are still involved and have to continue to work with the investor in the way that the share investment agreement regulates. Not to be confused with the Share Sale Agreement which is for when all the founder/owner shares are being bought out for cash.
